On the eve of Veteran’s Day, U.S. Secretary of Labor Martin J. Walsh recognized locally headquartered Quiet Professionals LLC as a recipient of the 2021 HIRE Vets Platinum Medallion Award. HIREVets is the only Federal-level veterans’ employment award. This is the third year the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program has awarded Quiet Professionals a medallion. The award reflects Quiet Professionals’ ongoing commitment to veteran hiring, retention, and professional development.
“As veterans ourselves, serving our country is part of everything we do here at Quiet Professionals,” says President and CEO Andy Wilson. “We understand the value veterans and their families bring to the Tampa Bay business community. We have tremendous respect for their service and first-rate character because we understand what it takes to serve. Veterans’ core values of loyalty, courage, and integrity are exactly what we encourage at Quiet Professionals. However, it’s not just Defense Contractors who can benefit from hiring veterans; the Tampa business community as a whole could benefit tremendously by tapping into their innate leadership qualities.”
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting uncertainty, Quiet Professionals continued to invest in veterans, hiring over 90% veterans and employing over 90% veteran employees overall. Recipients of the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award must show a commitment to hiring and retaining veterans and ensure they have a long-term career and growth plan that capitalizes the diverse skills acquired through their military service. Quiet Professionals’ veteran benefits include transition resources, education scholarships and grants, an entrepreneurship program, and more. Veterans can also access leadership coaching and “no strings attached” funds for post-secondary education. Quiet Professionals is developing a nationally available program for self-paced transition assistance, webinars, and access to expert advice from Quiet Professionals employees who have experienced transition themselves.
Because of the value that Quiet Professionals places on veteran service, they also prioritize support of several veteran-run and veteran-focused non-profit groups, such as Hiring Our Heroes, Stay in Step, the Tampa Bay Chamber’s program Operation Partnership, the Florida Veterans Foundation, SOF Missions, and others.
Quiet Professionals celebrates Veterans Day by honoring the commitment of those who have served.
